So many authors come and ask me what number of reviews I need to generate x amount of sales. Today, I am sharing my experience so that you can have clarity to generate book sales. The first thing you need to know is:
Fewer reviews = fewer sales
If your book has:
Less than 100 reviews = 2-5 copies sold every day
100- 250 reviews = 10-20 copies sold every day
250-500 reviews = 20-40 copies sold every day
Above 500 reviews = 100- 200 copies sold every day
Other factors that influence book sales ,except reviews, include:
Your profile setup
Book sales page optimization
SEO-keyword optimization
If you control the perception of visitors with your reviews, you can control sales. How is that?
Step 1: Figure out the high-ranking keywords you want to rank on Amazon.
Step 2: Hire book reviewers and give them those keywords and tell them to write reviews using them.
Step 3: Do SEO auditing for your Amazon sales page. Hire a book SEO manager to rewrite the whole page.
You can find such people on Upwork or freelancer.com. It will hardly take 30-60 days to hire a good match and you might have to hire and fire different people in this time. But do not give up. If you want a shortcut, you can call me and I will fix everything instantly.
Making your book famous in the market is not a one-time effort. The level of success of your book depends on consistent marketing efforts without giving up. Sometimes you may not get results, but still you have to keep going because marketing is all about testing. Marketing is not about generating results every time; it is also about testing. The more you test, the more breakthroughs you get. The more offers you make, the more winning angles you acquire. To stay in the market, keep marketing. Remember, one offer can skyrocket your book sales. You just need to find that offer.
