There are four modalities of books. Authors focus on one modality or two: e-book, paperback, hardcover and 90% ends there. They don't go further than this. If you do not promote, then the chances of success are only 2%. If you go beyond and add proven modalities, you can earn a profit of $20-$30 per sale.
The next level of modality, which is underestimated by 99% of the authors, is audiobook. Russell Brunson was selling his book and making $10- $20 per sale. When he added an audiobook priced at $33, he started making a $22 profit on each sale. He sold more than 500,000 copies in 10 years. The reason he sold a million copies was the audiobook. Let me share a breakdown of how you can sell_your_audiobook by using your system or the one we have created for all our authors. The reason you publish your book is to make money, not to lose money. Now, which side do you want to be, selling ebooks, paperback or the side which is selling audio books?
Step 1: Set_up_a_book_sales_funnel where you add your ebook and paperback at the lowest price possible, including shipping fees, and you offer it. The book is free, just pay for the shipping. You also offer an audiobook or some workbooks as an upgrade to your first offer.
Step 2: Set up a Facebook ad campaign or Google Ad campaign. Most companies fail because they make the right offer to the wrong audience, or the wrong offer to the right audience. So you need to find your sweet spot and create the perfect offer for the right audience with the right emotional or logical message to promote their self-interest and invoke their buying behaviour instantly. The campaign strategy takes a lot of brainstorming, considering the product you are going to sell.
In short, you only need to work on your offer creation with the right message to market and promote it to the right audience. If you do not know what your audiences are, you can do competitor analysis, using available online tools, like SimilarWeb, Alexia and others, but that will cost you $400-$500 per month, but save you from failures that might cost you thousands and thousands of dollars in lost sales in the next few months.
Step 3: Create more offers. Pick a different audience and repeat the whole process. Selling an ebook or paperback on your own platform will make you lose money, and on a third-party platform, you can never be profitable at all. And I can tell you this because I deal with an insane number of authors in one-to-one sessions.
